Pinning

By default, annotations are placed onto the virtual page of your chord chart or sheet music. That means that annotations will scroll as you move your music. However, you also have the option to "pin" annotation to different things. This will keep the annotation on your screen so it doesn't scroll.

First, you can pin an annotation using the context menu by tapping and holding (iOS/iPadOS) or right-clicking (macOS). You can then choose "Pin..." to access various options. These include...

Sheet

This is the default and pins the annotation to the virtual page. When you scroll, the sticky note scrolls too.

Song

Will pin the annotation to the song so it stays put as long as that song is being viewed. The annotation does not scroll and is attached to the device screen instead.

Book

Will pin the annotation to the currently viewed book. That means the annotation will remain on the screen even when navigating between songs within the book. If you view something other than that book, the annotation will be removed from the screen. (this option is only available when viewing a book)

Set

Will pin the annotation to the currently viewed set. That means the annotation will remain on the screen even when navigating between songs within the set. If you view something other than that set, the annotation will be removed from the screen. (this option is only available when viewing a set)

Desk

Will pin the annotation to the desk meaning it is always visible no matter what appears on the screen. You can browse books, sets, songs, etc and the sticky note will always be visible.
